We then headed off on what was a chilly but incredibly clear and sunny day to explore electric town (Akihabara) and the centre of all things kawaii/cute (Harajuku).
First we had to purchase our transport mulipass swipe card.
So Akihbara is all things electronic, manga and maid cafe, kinda summarised in the below
A lot of the stores were multilevel with something for everyone in manga.
We looked in a variety of stores, and observed the general vibe then had burgers for lunch because they were there and it was easy
Whilst I hoped to visit a Hedgehog Cafe somewhere else we stumbled across one (called Cheese!?!) on the main street so thought we may as well visit whilst it was there and convenient.

After that we headed back to the train station to and on to Harajuku with the main shopping strip being packed .
We did some looking in shops and also and
marvelling at the general busyness. We decided to have a crepes which
seemed to be the rage but it there was way too much fake cream in them for
us....
After awhile we had sensory
overload and headed back to the train then to Shinjuku station the walked home
with assistance from Caity who again displayed exceptional orientation. Then it was computer chillaxing time out and a bit of catching up on the world.
For dinner it was more rice and beef in bowls and assorted condiments.
Pretty soon it will be bed time as we are all worn out.
